Privacy policy

The short version: this website sets no cookies and tracks nothing. NamiSampler never connects to the internet and never sends us anything. We only see your email address when you join our list or write to us.

This website

The website has no cookies, analytics, tracking pixels or advertising, and it loads no fonts or scripts from other companies, with two exceptions: when you join the early-access list, the email address you type is sent to our email service MailerLite; and when you click Buy, the page loads Paddle's checkout (Paddle.js) so you can pay. From that moment Paddle processes what you enter in the checkout under its own privacy policy, and it may set the cookies it needs for a secure payment. The search demo on the front page runs entirely in your browser; what you type there is never sent anywhere.

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver the pages and keep the site secure, under its own privacy policy. We have not turned on Cloudflare's visitor analytics, and we do not use this data to identify you.

Links to Instagram and TikTok take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies.

The early-access list

When you join the list, your email address is stored with our email service, MailerLite (UAB MailerLite, Lithuania, EU), which processes it for us under a data processing agreement. MailerLite first sends you an email to confirm your address; you are only on the list once you click the link in it. We use your address only to tell you about the launch of our plug-ins, and we never share or sell it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or write to [email protected], and we delete your address.

MailerLite may record whether you open our emails and click their links, so we can see that the emails arrive. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by unsubscribing.

NamiSampler, the plug-in

NamiSampler does not collect, send or sell any personal data, and it never connects to the internet. It saves these things only on your own computer, so it can work:

• the folders you add, your favorites and collections, window size and preview volume (in ~/Library/Application Support/NamiSampler/ on a Mac, and in your DAW projects);
• waveform previews of your samples (in ~/Library/Caches/NamiSampler/ on a Mac);
• your license key, which contains the name and email address you bought with, and the date your trial started.

NamiSampler reads your audio files only to play and display them. It never uploads or changes them. It has no analytics, crash reporting or advertising, and it does not check for updates or validate your license online.

When you buy

Purchases are handled by our reseller Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited), which acts as the merchant of record and processes your name, email address, payment and tax details under its own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address and order details from the reseller so we can send you your license key and help you with support.

When you contact us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to answer you, and keep them only as long as needed for support and our legal obligations.

Your rights

Under the EU's GDPR you can ask us what data we have about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to how we use it. Write to us at the address below. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).
